This week our engineers spent the day with the team at Grant Engineering for focused training on the Aerona heat pump range.

The aim was simple: deepen our understanding of the system so we can continue supporting our customers confidently long after installation day.

When we install a heat pump, we see that as the start of a long-term relationship. A well-designed system deserves knowledgeable servicing, careful adjustments, and ongoing support as homeowners settle into living with it.

Getting to Know the Aerona Range in Detail

The day was centred around the Aerona control platform and service requirements.

Modern heat pumps are intelligent systems. The Aerona range includes comprehensive programming features such as:

  • Weather compensation

  • Heating curve adjustments

  • Domestic hot water scheduling

  • Anti-legionella cycles

  • Seasonal optimisation settings

Understanding how these features interact allows our engineers to fine-tune systems for comfort and efficiency as real-life usage patterns emerge.

Small adjustments can make a meaningful difference. Spending time working directly with the controls strengthens our ability to make those refinements confidently and efficiently.

Servicing with Confidence

We also reviewed the structured servicing approach for the Aerona series.

Long-term performance relies on consistent professional care. System pressures, filters, electrical checks, refrigerant circuits and overall system health all contribute to reliability and efficiency over time.

Clear manufacturer guidance, combined with hands-on training, ensures we service these systems thoroughly and consistently.

This aligns closely with our own approach at Assembly Renewables — installation is one stage of the journey, and ongoing support remains central to what we do.

Supporting Customers as They Live with Their System

Comfort with a heat pump comes from steady, well-managed operation.

As customers experience their first autumn and winter with a system, there are often opportunities to refine settings to suit their routine and preferences. A deeper understanding of the Aerona controls means we can make those adjustments smoothly, helping homeowners feel fully comfortable and confident in their system.

Our focus is always on long-term satisfaction and performance.

Shared Values

Spending time with the Grant team also reinforced something important: alignment in approach.

At Assembly Renewables, we prioritise:

  • Accurate heat loss calculations

  • Correct sizing and system design

  • Longevity and serviceability

  • Ongoing customer support

Grant’s engineering approach reflects a similar commitment to durability, clarity of controls and installer education.

When manufacturer and installer share the same standards, it strengthens the overall experience for the homeowner.

Engineering First

Training days like this strengthen our technical confidence and support our long-term commitment to customers.

Engineering first — in design, in installation and in every year that follows.

Considering a Heat Pump?

Engineering first. Support always.

If you’re exploring a heat pump for your home and want it carefully designed, professionally installed and supported for the long term, our team would be happy to guide you through the process.
